LAWRENCE DUPUIS

Graduated in film production at Concordia University’s Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema, Lawrence Dupuis has since created his own artistic signature now recognized by his peers. Lawrence Dupuis’ work is greatly influenced by the work of Todd Haynes, Darren Aronofsky and Tarsem Singh. His artistic treatment is reflected in an approach inspired by esotericism and the magic spectrum surrounding religious and spiritual practices. Many of his artworks are stylistic exercises born out of long introspections. His work has been shown at the Rendez-Vous du Cinema Quebecois, the Image and Nation Festival, the Rimouski Film Festival, La Bande Video, the Lanaudiere Festifilm, the Art Matters Festival, the Eastern Bloc Gallery, the Cold Call Film Fest, the New Zealand’s Out Takes Film Festival, and the VAV Gallery at Concordia University.
